Embed vs. redirect: which checkout converts better?
We A/B tested embeddable checkouts against off-site redirects. The result wasn't close.
We A/B tested embeddable checkouts against off-site redirects. The result wasn't close.
We ran the test across thirty events over six months. Half sent buyers to an external checkout page; half kept buyers on the organiser's own site with an embedded iframe. The embedded checkout converted 23% better on average.
The why is intuitive: every redirect introduces friction, uncertainty, and a chance for the buyer to abandon. Keeping the checkout in-context keeps the buyer's intent intact.
If you're still redirecting, give embeds a try. The lift is real, and the buyer experience is meaningfully better.
