Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This policy explains how Tickstler ("we", "us") handles personal data when you create an account, list events, or when buyers purchase tickets through your embedded checkout.
1. Data we collect
- Organiser data: name, email, billing details, Stripe account ID, IP and usage logs.
- Buyer data: the information your event collects (typically name, email, plus any custom fields you set).
- Payment data: handled and stored by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use it
- To provide, secure and improve the Tickstler service.
- To send you operational notifications (receipts, ticket emails, account alerts).
- To comply with legal obligations, including financial reporting.
3. Roles & responsibilities
For buyer data collected through your event, you are the data controller and Tickstler acts as a data processor. You are responsible for your own privacy notice and lawful basis for processing.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the processors required to run the service: hosting providers, Stripe (for payment), and our transactional email provider. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We retain account and event data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. You can request export or deletion of attendee data at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Contact legal@tickstler.com to exercise them.
7. International transfers
Data may be processed in the UK, EU, and US (e.g., Stripe). Where transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Changes
We'll post updates to this policy on this page and notify you of material changes.
